Chat and Search mode

The chat screen has a Chat | Search switch.

Chat mode

Ask anything and the answer streams in as it is written. Your conversation is saved to your account (when signed in) and appears under Recents in the sidebar.

Search mode

Search mode looks up the live web, shows the steps it takes, and answers with sources you can open. Sources are saved with the answer, so a reloaded chat still shows them. If live search is unavailable, Xi-One tells you the answer comes from the model's own knowledge instead.

Voice input

In browsers that support speech recognition (such as Chrome), use the microphone button to dictate your message.

Managing a chat

Click the chat title at the top to rename, pin or delete it. The ⋯ menu offers About conversation, Export as Text and Export as PDF, and lets you publish the chat.

Tips

• Be specific: include context, goal and format you want.
• Use Personas when you want a particular viewpoint.
• Each reply uses tokens from your daily allowance.
