Privacy Policy
We believe privacy is a right, not a feature. Here's exactly what we collect, why, and how we protect it.
1. Who we are
Xi-One is an AI assistant product developed by ANUNEX Technologies. Our contact for privacy-related questions is:

2. What data we collect
Account information
When you sign in, we collect:
- —Your email address (through Google sign-in or email and password)
- —Your display name (from Google or what you enter)
- —Your profile photo URL (from Google, if available)
Profile information (optional)
If you choose to fill your profile in Settings:
- —Display name
- —Bio / about you
- —Date of birth
This information is optional and helps Xi-One personalize your experience.
Requests through a public profile
If you use the Book a call or Send a message buttons on someone's public profile, you do not need an account. We collect:
- —Your name and email address
- —Your message, and when you are free (for call requests)
- —Your agreement to share these details with the profile owner
We show them only to that profile owner, in their Xi-One inbox. They may reply to your email. We do not send you email ourselves. The owner can delete the request at any time, and it is removed if their account is deleted. To ask us to remove a request, use the Grievance page.
Reviews you write
If you review someone's public profile, we store your rating, your text and the name from your Xi-One profile. They are shown publicly on that profile. You can edit or delete your review at any time, and it is removed if you delete your account.
Chat data
- —Your messages and Xi-One's responses are saved to your account
- —Chat titles are auto-generated from your first message
- —This data is stored in Firebase (Google's cloud database)
- —Your chat history is private. Only you can see it
Usage data
- —Number of messages sent per day (for rate limiting)
- —Date and token counts of your usage (to apply daily limits)
- —This data is used only to enforce free plan limits
Published conversations and referrals
Chats are private by default. If you choose to publish a conversation, a snapshot of the messages you select becomes public at its own link and may be indexed by search engines until you unpublish or delete it. Your name is shown only if you turn on “show my name”. We count views and approximate visitor country (from the request) per page, which only you can see.
If you use a referral link, the inviter can see your first name and join date. We never show your email to them.
3. How we use your data

4. Third-party services we use
Firebase (Google)
- —Used for user authentication (login)
- —Used to store chat history, profile data, and usage data
- —Firebase is operated by Google LLC
- —Google's privacy policy applies: firebase.google.com
Groq API
- —Used to generate AI responses (the model runs on servers operated by Groq)
- —Your messages are sent to Groq's servers to generate responses
- —Groq's privacy policy applies: groq.com
- —We do not store your data on Groq's servers beyond what is needed for response generation
Future services
As Xi-One grows, we may add services such as:
- —News APIs (for research and current events features)
- —Analytics tools (to understand how Xi-One is used)
- —Payment processors (for future Pro plans)
We will update this policy when new services are added.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for commercial purposes.
Your data may only be shared in these limited cases:
- —With service providers listed above (Firebase, Groq). Only as needed to operate Xi-One
- —If required by law or a valid legal request from Indian authorities
- —To protect the safety of users or the public
6. Data retention
- —Your account and chat data is retained as long as your account is active
- —Daily usage data is automatically reset every 24 hours
- —If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days
- —Some data may be retained longer if required by law
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- —Access your data. Download a copy any time: Settings → Privacy & data
- —Edit your profile data. Available in Settings
- —Delete your chats. Available in the chat interface
- —Erase your account and all data: Settings → Privacy & data (done immediately; backups age out within 30 days)
- —Withdraw consent. Optional consents (such as product-update emails) can be switched off in Settings → Privacy & data
- —Complain. Contact our Grievance Officer (see the Grievance page); you may also approach the Data Protection Board of India
- —Nominate another person to exercise your rights on your behalf
Your public profile is private by default. If you switch it to Public, the details you choose (name, handle, headline, about, links, optional photo and join date, and chats you published) can be seen by anyone and by search engines. Your email address is never shown. You can switch it back to Private or erase it at any time.
We keep a record of the consents you give (what, when and which version of this notice) so you can see and change them. See also: Grievance Officer & your data rights.
8. Children and minors
Xi-One is for people aged 18 and over. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, a person under 18 is a child, and we do not currently offer a way to collect a child's data with verifiable parental consent. We ask for your date of birth when you sign up and do not allow sign-up under 18.
9. Security
- —All data is stored on Firebase with Google-level security
- —Authentication is handled by Firebase Auth. We never store your password
- —Communication between Xi-One and our servers uses HTTPS encryption
- —Access to your data is restricted to your account only
10. Changes to this policy
As Xi-One evolves, this policy will be updated. We will notify users of significant changes through the app. Continuing to use Xi-One after changes means you accept the updated policy.
