Cookie Policy

Xi-One uses cookies and similar browser storage so the app works, remembers your choices, and helps us understand how it is used. This policy explains:

• —what these technologies are,
• —what Xi-One actually stores in your browser,
• —which third-party services may set cookies,
• —and how you can control them.

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Browsers also offer similar storage (localStorage, sessionStorage and IndexedDB). We call all of these “cookies” here unless a distinction matters.

• —Sign-in session: Firebase Authentication keeps you signed in using browser storage (essential).
• —Theme. Your light, dark or system choice, and sidebar layout preferences (functional).
• —Referral code. If you open an invite link, the code is kept until you sign up so the invite can be credited, then removed (functional).
• —View marker. When you read a published conversation, a short-lived session marker prevents counting the same view repeatedly (functional).

• —Google Analytics may set cookies to measure traffic and usage in aggregate.
• —Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights measure page performance and do not use cookies to track you across sites.
• —Sign-in with Google or GitHub is handled by those providers under their own policies.

You can delete or block cookies and site storage in your browser settings. Blocking essential storage will sign you out and some features may stop working. To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, you can use Google's browser add-on or your browser's tracking-protection settings.

We may update this policy as Xi-One changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Questions can be sent through the contact details on our Privacy Policy.
